"Dear young people, do not bury your talents, the gifts that God has given you. Do not be afraid to dream of great things!" Pope Francis
The Office of Young Adult Ministry aims to connect young adults between the ages of 18 and 39 to Jesus Christ and to inspire them to be missionary disciples of the Gospel. We offer resources for Catholic young adults -college students, young professionals, single and married- as they seek wholeness and holiness of life.
"Through intentional pastoral ministry with young adults, 'the Church can offer young adults a vision of life based on faith that calls each of them to holiness, community and service' (Sons and Daughters of the Light). 'In this way, by learning from one another, we can better reflect that wonderful multifaceted reality that Christ's Church is meant to be." (Christus Vivit)."

What is World Youth Day? After two successful international gatherings with young people in Rome in 1984 and 1985, St. John Paul II instituted the annual observance of World Youth Day in December 1985 as an annual gathering of youth and young adults for prayer, worship and celebration of the Catholic faith.
General Events include:
Opening Mass, Morning Catechesis and Mass, Youth Festival (concerts, talks, exhibits)
Papal Welcome Ceremony
Way of the Cross, Evening Candlelight Vigil with the Pope, Morning Papal Mass
The next World Youth Day will take place in Lisbon, Portugal in August of 2023 and the theme of the encounter is: "Mary arose and went in haste" taken from Luke's Gospel account of the Visitation. The Diocese of Corpus Christi is partnering with FaithJourneys for a 10 day pilgrimage to Portugal from July 29-August 8, 2023. Participants must be 18 or older to attend. There are currently 20 spots open and registration is on-going and now extended to January 15th
