Vicar For Retired Priests

A special collection for the retired diocesan Priests Pension Fund will be taken on the fourth Sunday of Easter. Unlike priests who belong to religious orders and whose retirement needs are completely taken care of by their religious communities, a retired diocesan priest, for the most part, must support himself in retirement. Although some priests have saved some for retirement, most would not be able to cover all their expenses in retirement without their monthly pension from the Priests Pension Fund. Therefore, on the Sunday of the collection, let us also not forget those diocesan priests who responded to the God’s call in their youth and who, now in their retirement years, need our help so that they can live in dignity, free of anxiety about their means of support. Please give generously to this special collection for the Priests Pension Fund.
