Often, we tend to view the season of Lent as a time to give up something we enjoy. While the practice of self-denial is indeed important, too often, we tend to focus on what we are giving up and lose sight of what that sacrifice will mean for us as spiritual people.
On Sunday, February 26, 138 catechumens were present for the RCIA Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion at the Corpus Christi Cathedral. These catechumens were accompanied by their godparents and sponsors who have provided guidance and support as they continue their journey to become Catholic. The Rite of Election is an essential part of the initiation process.
