Incarnate Word Academy kicked off the “Year of Faith” with a campus-wide service project to deliver more than 330 care packets to area social service agencies.

The Christmas Masses at Corpus Christi Cathedral are some of the most well attended events year-round in the Diocese of Corpus Christi. People need to show up a half hour before the Masses, because the Cathedral fills up quickly, Father Pete Elizardo, rector of Cathedral, said.
In addition to the Christmas Masses, the Cathedral choirs will perform their annual pageant entitled “A Cathedral Holiday New Year’s Spectacular! A Touch of Frost.” The production will have two showings, one on Friday, Dec. 21, at 7:30 p.m. and the second on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m.
In his 12 years at St. Elizabeth, Msgr. Pivonka has introduced many practices and ministries that seek to build up the faith. He is very pleased with Pope Benedict XVI’s proclamation of the Year of Faith, which Msgr. Pivonka sees as another incentive for Catholics to grow in faith.
