Thirteen young ladies participated in the second annual True Radiance Fashion Show sponsored by the Diocese of Corpus Christi. The True Modesty Formation Program’s mission is to prove fashion can be both beautiful and modest in today’s world.
During the program, the high school aged young ladies from across the diocese focused on the true meaning of femininity and growing in faith, virtues and style.
Participants attended a series of seminars on subjects ranging from personal style to spiritual formation. The culmination of the program was a fashion show at the Richard Borchard Regional Fairgrounds on Aug. 24.
The young ladies modeled fashions from local thrift stores, proving you can look trendy even when on a budget and the highlight of the evening was a special collection from local fashion designer Chels Marie.
Guest speaker Mario St. Francis Herrera, internationally-known Catholic actor, model and chastity speaker told young people in attendance that they were only “as good as the friends that you keep.”
Bishop Wm. Michael Mulvey provided prayer and encouragement to the girls. Local news personality Jennifer Lira served as Master of Ceremonies.
