Students follow the footsteps of Jesus: Stations of the Cross

March 17, 2016Incarnate Word Academy Elementary Level meets every Friday during Lent in the IWA Chapel to follow the footsteps of Jesus in the Stations of the Cross. The Stations of the Cross are led by fifth grade students from IWA Elementary Level’s traditional and Montessori programs.
“Participation in the Stations of the Cross allows our students to experience the journey and sacrifice Jesus made for all,” Religious Studies Teacher Georgina Mortera said. “The children are learning that each station is and can be lived in our daily lives. The Stations of the Cross helps the children feel closer to Jesus.”
