IWA students deliver gifts for needy to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
Incarnate Word Academy High School Level students provided Christmas gifts for 300 foster children this holiday season. Students delivered the gifts to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services on Dec. 19, 2013.
“The students collected items such as toys, books, clothes, and accessories for children ranging from babies to teenagers,” IWA Religious Studies Teacher Sister Judith Marie Saenz said.
The high school level’s gift drive is a an example of how IWA students recognize God’s blessings and commitment and sharing them with others in school, family, Church and the community, Saenz said.
