St. Anthony students attend Liturgy for the beginning of school

St. Anthony School 7th and 8th Grade students were among the 800 students from the 19 Catholic schools in the Diocese of Corpus Christi who attended the Liturgy to Begin the school year on Wednesday, Aug. 28. The Mass was on the Memorial of St. Augustine whose mother, St. Monica, was a devout Catholic and prayed for his transformation throughout his troubled life. The Bishop Wm. Michael Mulvey, who celebrated the Mass, emphasized keeping the faith just like St. Monica. Bishop Mulvey also encouraged the students to think about their vocations, especially in serving as priests and nuns.
