Pilgrims on a journey: Young people from the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Newman Center and the Young Catholic Adults Corpus Christi, along with a group of Secular Franciscans from Corpus Christi, embarked on a pilgrimage to the San Antonio Missions. The day began at Mission Concepción with a mass led by Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, M.Sp.S. He encouraged everyone to “be changed by God who wants to make everything new,” emphasizing His personal love for everyone. After watching a video, the group set off, walking to three historical missions - San José, San Juan Capistrano, and San Juan Espada, where they visited the buildings and took time for prayer and confession. Everyone arrived, some sunburned, some tired, but grateful for this new experience of walking and praying together. The day concluded with a delicious dinner at Velvet Taco before heading back home. All are grateful for renewed faith in this Jubilee Year.
