Official Assignments

For the good of the People of God, the Most Rev. Wm. Michael Mulvey has made the following assignments:

I am officially assigning Rev. Kurian Joseph, Parochial Vicar of St. Joseph Catholic Church (Alice, Texas), effective January 30, 2023. Your residence will be at the rectory of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Please contact Fr. Christopher Becerra regarding your move to St. Joseph Catholic Church. This assignment is for an indefinite period of time. Please keep in mind, however, that you may be asked in the future to accept another assignment or office in the Church for the good of souls. 

I am officially releasing Rev. Francis Medanki, HGN, as Parochial Vicar of St. Joseph Catholic Church (Alice, TX), and I appoint you as Parochial Administrator of Sacred Heart Catholic Church (Mathis, TX) effective January 30, 2023. Your residence will be the rectory at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (Mathis, Texas) Please contact Fr. Raju Thottankara regarding your move to St. Joseph Catholic Church. This appointment is for an indefinite period of time.

I thank you for your commitment as priests, your loyalty to the Church, and your respect for the office of the Bishop. I thank you also for your willingness to accept these new pastoral assignments. I take the occasion to express my gratitude for the years of priestly pastoral work you have done for the People of God at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
