Families in the Coastal Bend now have an opportunity to make a healthy lifestyle change; prepare for a healthier future; and figure out how to incorporate more physical activity, healthier foods and healthier behaviors into daily life. The Healthy Living Center with Catholic Charities offers help through a new program called MEND, which stands for Mind, Exercise, Nutrition, Do it.
MEND is not a diet or exercise program. It is a program that is offered free to families. Separate classes are held for children ages 2-5 and 6-13. With fun activities MEND teaches families the why, what and how to eat healthier and to be more active.
To join the MEND movement, register now for classes where families will work together to become happier, healthier and more confident. Call (361) 442-2224, ext. 16.
