New Appointment in the Diocese of Corpus Christi

Bishop Mulvey has appointed Fr. Luis Alfredo Villareal, pastor of St. Martin of Tours Parish in Kingsville, as Vicar Forane of the Kingsville Deanery, effective February 20, 2025. 

The Vicar Forane occupies an important role in the life of the Diocese of Corpus Christi: assisting the bishop in promoting and coordinating the common pastoral activity within the vicariate according to the rights and duties given by universal and diocesan law.
As Vicar Forane, Fr. Villareal will be a member of the Diocesan Presbyteral Council. 

As a "vicar," by ecclesiastical and diocesan custom, he is granted the privilege to use the title "Very Reverend" before his name as well as the initials "V.F."
