Mosaic of Our Lady of Perpetual Help receives bishop’s blessing

Bishop Michael Mulvey blessed the newly created Our Lady of Perpetual Help mosaic done by artist, Elsie Gaertner. Gaertner has done three mosaics for the Diocesan Catholic Stewardship Campaign. She is currently working on a new mosaic of the Christ the King image centered above the altar in Corpus Christi Cathedral.

Gaertner is hoping her Christ the King mosaic will be the centerpiece for her show of religious mosaics at the Art Center of Corpus Christi, sometime in 2017.
