Men's Warehouse and Catholic Charities help men suit up for job interviews

"It’s a wonderful thing to do something that blesses a person's life," Grant Flournoy, store manager of Corpus Christi's Men's Warehouse, said of the July suit drive that helps men find jobs.
 
All through the month of July people from Corpus Christi and surrounding areas have been donating their gently used or new suits, sports jackets, shoes and accessories to Men's Warehouse. In return Men's Warehouse offers donors 50 percent off their next purchase.
 
The month long event held every year is the company's way of helping disadvantage men transition back into the workforce. "It's a way to give back to the community to help people find jobs," assistant store manager Glenn Laskowski said.
 
Laskowski and Art Kuna helped Corpus Christi Catholic Charities personnel Yiyi Dean, Gessete Salcido, Amanda Lazo and Noah Dismas load over 400 items in the Catholic Charities van and truck at the store on Aug. 4.
 
The Corpus Christi Men's Warehouse was one of the first stores to start up the National Suit Drive nine years ago. Flournoy said the event has continued to blossom and the partnership with Catholic Charities for the past five years has been a lot of fun. "They are great partners," he said.
 
Flournoy has received photos of recipients in their new clothes and said that it's such a blessing to be able to do something nice for people who really need it, even though he may not get to see or meet them in person. "We get great output and outpouring from the community to be able to do this," he said.
