It is not everyone who can say they have met a saint, but Sister Gloria Rodriguez, MJMJ has met two. In 1976, while working in El Paso, she had the opportunity to meet Mother Teresa, now St. Teresa of Calcutta.
The diocesan director of youth and young adult ministry invited Mother Teresa to speak to El Pasoans as well as those from the neighboring diocese of Las Cruces at the El Paso Convention Center about her work with the poor.
"Those of us working with youth at the time were invited to a private meeting with her. She was amazing!" Sister Gloria said.
