Twenty-eight members of the Little Flower Girls' Club at St. Anthony School in Robstown made solemn promises at a special Mass held at St. Anthony Church on May 23.
The Little Flowers received sashes with patches they earned throughout the school year. The patches form a flower based on virtues of mercy, courage, joy, generosity, prudence, wisdom, justice, loyalty and perseverance. They also received certificates for completing their lessons and for their works of Mercy.
The program is in it's third year and is modeled after St. Theresa of Lisieux. It's members range from 2nd through 6th grade.
The celebration ended with an awards ceremony and dinner for members and their families. The program sponsors are Margie Willingham, Elva Ybarra and Sylvia Muniz under the direction of Sister Paz Arribon.
