Incarnate Word Academy High School Level is excited to announce its theatre department’s public performance of “The Curious Savage” – written by John Patrick.
The performance will be held on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. in the school’s Mother M. Patricia Gunning Gymnasium. Admission is $2.
This funny play about goodness, kindness, and heart features a woman named Mrs. Savage who inherits her late husband’s $10 million estate and wants to make the best use of it by setting up a memorial fund that gives money to others.
Her stepchildren place her in an asylum full of funny characters in an attempt to get Mrs. Savage to disclose where the money has gone.
The public is invited to see the story unfold and enjoy a night of comedic entertainment by the school’s theatre department, who recently performed the play during the TAPPS District One Act Play Contest.
Five students were honored with awards at the district contest.
Angela Hubbard and Caitlyn Martinez were named to the TAPPS District All-Star Cast; Vanessa Zambrano and Bradley Thering were named to the TAPPS District Honorable Mention Cast; and Mark McCracken was awarded TAPPS District Best Tech.
