CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – More than 40 Incarnate Word Academy elementary, middle, and high school level students have been chosen to represent IWA at the annual Visionarios Youth Art Contest on Sunday, Feb. 3, from 1-3 p.m. at the Art Museum of South Texas.
The contest is held every year and features artists from first to 12th grade from the coastal bend.
“To be chosen to represent IWA is a huge honor for students, and the chosen artists feel like winners already,” IWA Elementary Level Teacher Susie Martin said. “I’m extremely proud of the kids’ hard work and the enthusiasm and passion they show at such a young age.”
Students used various mediums including watercolor, oil pastels and colored pencils. Their artwork will be displayed at the Art Museum of South Texas through March 3.
These pieces of artwork are a perfect example of how IWA students recognize God’s blessings and commitment to share them with others in school, family, Church and the community, Martin said.
