IWA soloists score ones

at state music competition

Incarnate Word Academy High School Level received the highest rating possible on March 30, 2016 at the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) State Solo/Ensemble Contest. The event was held at St. Mary's University in San Antonio.

The high school level choir, which consists of sophomores Desirae McCracken and Jacob Morrison as well as juniors Marykathryn Charles and Abigail Garcia, received a division 1 superior rating in the choir ensemble category.

Marykathryn Charles, Abigail Garcia, and Jacob Morrison each received a division 1 superior rating in the vocal solo category. In addition, Marykathryn Charles and freshman Hannah Nornberg each received a division 1 superior rating in the piano solo category.
