Incarnate Word Academy Middle Level students in sixth, seventh and eighth grade participated in their school history fair on Jan. 16.
Sixth grade students showcased projects on different countries, while seventh and eighth grade students competed against each other in three categories on leadership and legacy: historical paper, documentary and exhibit.
Sixth grade winners include Emma Mendizabal, Julia Creech, Frances Lee, Charles Flood and Chloe Covich. Winners in seventh and eight grade competition were, in Historical Paper Alison Duncan and Patrick Greene, and for the Group Documentary winners were Anthony Matl, Drake Leeson and Patrick Shea; Eleanor Greco and Jacqueline Brown; and Nicholas Stark and Gabriel Rauen.
Seventh and eighth grade winners will advance to compete in the Coastal Bend Regional History Fair on March 7 at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
