IWA Lady Angels take on St. Dominic Savio in TAPPS regionals playoff game

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Incarnate Word Academy girls’ varsity basketball team (28-10) will play in the TAPPS 3-4A regionals playoff game against St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School from Austin. The playoff game will be at Floresville High School in Floresville, Texas on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 6:30 p.m.

On Feb. 23, the Lady Angels defeated Lutheran High North in the TAPPS 3-4A area playoff by a score of 73-58. The top scorers at the area playoff game were senior Madison Longwell with 17 points and sophomore Bianca Valderrama with 14 points.

The Lady Angels were 9-1 in district play. Last season, the team was 8-0 in district play.
