Incarnate Word Academy High School Level invited parents and seniors to attend a College Financial Aid Workshop on March 4.
Financial professionals will be on hand to assist parents and seniors with the FAFSA and answer any questions they might have.
In addition, college admissions advisors from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Texas A&M International University, and Del Mar College will be in attendance to provide assistance.
IWA is committed to providing students and families with college-planning resources even as the process of applying to and selecting a college becomes more and more competitive and complex.
Throughout the school year, IWA invites college and university representatives from across the U.S. to visit with its students to talk about admission requirements, course offerings, campus life, as well as other information pertinent to the college-selection process.
“College representatives are going to provide that insight of what it takes to be a competitive applicant,” IWA Academic and Guidance Counselor Sherilyn Calhoun said. “They are also going to discuss topics such as scholarships, majors, and the importance of applying early.”
