IWA freshman organizes ‘Teens for Jeans’ campaign

Incarnate Word Academy freshman Sheridan Steen recently organized a jeans drive in partnership with DoSomething.org’s Teens for Jeans campaign. Sheridan and her classmates collected hundreds of jeans, which will be donated to homeless youth.

The Teens for Jeans campaign is in partnership with Aéropostale and Fifth Harmony. The jeans were dropped off Friday, Feb. 21, at Aéropostale at La Palmera Mall on South Padre Island Drive.

The high school level students’ jeans drive is an example of how IWA students recognize God’s blessings and commitment and sharing them with others in school, family, Church, and the community, a school spokesman said.
