Coaches meet the parents at IWA event

Incarnate Word Academy’s campus-wide booster club and coaching staff hosted a Meet the Coaches event on Aug. 25. The event allowed parents and families to meet coaches from the school’s elementary, middle, and high school level athletic teams.
 
“During the 2015-2016 school year, a majority of our teams advanced to district, regional, and state playoffs,” Athletic Director Reynaldo “Gator” Garcia said. “It’s because of events such as this that we have such a huge turnout at our games, tournaments, pep rallies, and more from families, faculty, and staff. Our students’ success on the court and on the field is because of that strong parent and school relationship.”
 
Families also had an opportunity to meet campus-wide booster club officers at the event.
 
“Our campus offers a variety of elementary, middle, and high school level athletic teams,” Garcia said.
 
IWA Elementary Level offers baseball, basketball, running club, softball, swimming, track, and volleyball teams. IWA Middle Level offers basketball, baseball, cross country, golf, volleyball, soccer, softball, tennis, and track and field teams. IWA High School Level offers basketball, baseball, cheerleading, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, and track and field teams.
