Students receive awards at state
academics championships

IWA High School students received individual awards in a number of categories at the TAPPS State Academics competition held in Waco on April 5. Among the winners was Ashley Montgomery who placed first in Original Oratory. Kristen Creamean and Joseph Cook placed third in Duet Acting; Lupita Leon did the same in Spanish; and Amber Cox came in fifth in Calculator.

 

The Incarnate Word Academy High School team received seventh place overall and eighth place in the yearbook category.
