The Corpus Christi Interfaith Alliance is sponsoring its Second Annual Ecumenical Freedom Concert on Sunday, Jan. 26, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Performance Arts Center at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. The common theme of the music is “freedom”.
Ruthie Foster from Austin, also known as “the next Aretha Franklin,” will be the guest headline performer.
The concert exemplifies the collective statement of the religious communities in the Corpus Christi area: “We are proud of our individual faiths, but we also joyously come together to seek the improvement of the welfare of our total community.”
