Parents at Incarnate Word Academy will have an opportunity meet their child’s teachers and to be a student again as the school invites them to attend their child’s classrooms this week.
Beginning at the elementary level, there will be a Back-to-School Night on Tuesday, Aug. 19. Parents will meet at the school’s James R. Dougherty Center at 6:30 p.m. for a quick meeting before visiting classrooms to attend teacher presentations.
The school’s middle level is hosting a Follow-the-Schedule Night on Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 6:30 p.m., and the high school level is hosting a Follow-the-Schedule Night on Thursday, Aug. 21, at 6:30 p.m.
Parents will attend their child’s first period class for approximately 6-8 minutes and then will have a total of four minutes to get to their second period classroom. Parents will continue this process until they complete their child’s daily schedule.
These events are method of how IWA strives to provide a community where all may grow in Christian wholeness and bear witness to the presence and love of Christ among us.
