Pre-K 3 students in Del Rosal and Nancy Davila's class celebrated the upcoming Feast of Christ the King at Holy Family School on Nov. 11.
The children worked hard for a week practicing prayers and setting up a prayer table in the classroom.
The table included a Crucifix, a children’s Bible, a rosary, a living plant, a picture of Jesus and a crown for Christ the King.
Each of the children reverently placed an item on the prayer table and asked Christ for what they held in their hearts. Following the table set up, the children sang a song and danced, honoring Christ as King and proclaiming, “Viva Cristo Rey, Viva!”
The children then proceeded in praying before they enjoyed crown-shaped cookies, “heavenly pudding” and apple juice in the presence of Jesus.
Holy Family second graders will celebrate the Feast of Christ the King on Nov. 20.
