Golfers advance to TAPPS State Championship

Incarnate Word Academy junior Mikaela Rendon earned first place with a 79 at the TAPPS Regional Golf Tournament on April 26 in League City.
 
In addition, the IWA boys’ golf team earned third place overall with a 324.
 
In the boys’ individual results, William Teichman IV tied for third place with a 74; Jackson Wallace received ninth place with an 81; Hicks Layton received 12th place with an 83; Charlie Uecker received 18th place with an 86; and Oscar Pena received 32nd place with a 94.
 
Both Mikaela and the boys’ team will advance to complete in the TAPPS State Golf Championship on May 2 in Temple.
