Friends say farewell

to Msgr. Rory Deane

Mourners filled Sacred Heart Church in Rockport on Thursday, March 10, to remember Msgr. Rory Deane who passed away on Sunday, March 6. Parishioners from many of the parishes Msgr. Deane served were on hand to remember and pay homage to him.

Both Bishop Michael Mulvey and Bishop Emeritus Edmond Carmody paid tribute to Msgr. Deane, as did a nephew that came from Ireland for the services. Also on hand to remember Msgr. Deane were a large contingent of his brother priests.

After the Mass, Msgr. Deane was laid to rest at the Lamar Cemetery.
