Eighth graders at St. Anthony complete Theology of the Body
May14,2013
The 8th grade class at St. Anthony School in Robstown completed a course on Theology of the Body for middle school under the direction of Roxanne Alvarado and Margie Willingham.
As part of the course the class attended a retreat at St. Paul School in Flour Bluff on April 26. The retreat included a special ring ceremony where a parent placed a purity ring on their child's finger.
The students made a commitment to remain chaste until marriage. The parents and leaders pledged to help the student in their commitment. Father George Nedeff, SOLT, celebrated Mass and was the spiritual director for the retreat. This is the 3rd year St. Anthony School offered a course on Theology of the Body based on the teachings of Blessed John Paul II.
