Coffee, tacos and pan dulce will be available at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, July 28, at St. Joseph's Hall under Corpus Christi Cathedral as local Catholic youth groups and families of youth who journeyed to Brazil for World Youth Day gather to watch the concluding Papal Mass live from Rio de Janeiro. Those who gather will also be conversing with the Corpus Christi pilgrims by way of Skype.
The public is invited. Doors will open at 5:30 a.m. and a rosary will be prayed between 6-6:30 a.m. Breakfast will follow at 6:30-7 a.m. The first Skype session with pilgrims will be between 7:15-7:30 a.m. The Mass will begin at 7:30 a.m. A second Skype session with pilgrims, including prayers and testimonies, will be held after Mass.
More than 2.5 million Catholics, most of them young Catholics, are expected to attend the final Mass at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event will be televised around the world and is the conclusion to four days of prayer, worship and the celebration of the Catholic faith with Pope Francis.
