CHRISTUS Spohn Health System announced that Stephen Kazanjian has assumed the role of Vice President of Mission Integration. His will be responsible for safeguarding the ethics and integrity of CHRISTUS Spohn as a Catholic health care organization, and will be forming relationships with local faith leaders. Kazanjian will also work to improve access to spiritual care to CHRISTUS Spohn Associates, patients and Coastal Bend residents.
Kazanjian brings nearly 20-years of experience in spiritual care and guidance to CHRISTUS Spohn. Past roles have included mission leader, minister, educator, counselor and more. His most recent role was serving as Director of Mission and Pastoral Care for Bon Secours Health System in the Bronx, New York.
“I hope to make an impact on all levels by making sure that our patients and Associates are happy, satisfied and nourished - spiritually, mentally and physically,” Kazanjian said.
Kazanjian, his wife Jennifer, and their four young children are new to South Texas. They relocated from Dumont, in northern New Jersey, and are “excited to be living near the beach.” “I’m an outdoor person, I love playing sports, going to the beach and taking my kids swimming,” Kazanjian said.
