A check for more than $40,000 will be presented at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, in the lobby of CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Beeville, made possible by the 2014 Beeville Ladies Night Out Committee.
This year marks the 11
th anniversary of the premier fundraiser, which features products from dozens of local vendors, delicious Cajun-inspired foods and plenty of Mardi Gras-themed fun.
The funds presented Tuesday will help bring Neuro-Telemedicine to the Emergency Department and new Stryker Bassinets in the Labor and Delivery Unit.
Neuro-Telemedicine enables a neurologist to examine a patient interactively, review the patient’s condition and determine whether the patient is eligible for a powerful clot-dissolving medication. The process saves valuable time.
The new maternity bassinets will create a comfortable and home-like environment for mom and baby.
Since 2004, the event has raised more than $240,000 for CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Beeville, which has helped to provide pediatric services in the Emergency Department, breast cancer screening equipment for Women Services, pediatric infusion pumps and wheelchairs and much more.
The 11
th Beeville Ladies Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 17, at the Bee County Expo Center, 214 S. Farm-to-Market Road 351. The 2015 Beeville Ladies Night Out Committee includes Chair, Jessica Morrill; Founding Chair, Lou Adele May; and Past Chair, Leticia Munoz.
