Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi has announced plans to relocate and expand their operation to a new building located at 615 Oliver Ct., at the corner of Oliver Ct. and Up River Rd. in Corpus Christi.
The goal of owning their building and a search for a new location has been ongoing for several years. Recently the project was made a reality with a grant from the John G. and Marie Stella Kenedy Memorial Foundation, together with reserves set aside specifically for this purpose.
The new location will allow a much needed 10,000 square foot increase in program space. The administrative offices will also move to the new building.
Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi has served South Texas and the Coastal Bend for more than 50 years with multiple programs including assistance to the poor and disabled, helping immigrants who are seeking legal paths to citizenship and relief services during emergencies and times of disaster.
The actual physical move to the new location is expected to occur within the next two months. The current location will be returned to the Sacred Heart Parish community for their use.
