Bishop visits with IWA middle level students

Bishop Mulvey visits IWA Middle Level classroom during recent pastoral visit.

As part of a personal initiative, Bishop Michael Mulvey is taking time to visit every Catholic school within the Diocese of Corpus Christi. One of those visits took place on Monday, Jan. 13, at Incarnate Word Academy Middle Level.

Bishop Mulvey celebrated Mass with IWA Middle Level students in the school’s James R. Dougherty Center before visiting each classroom.

“I think it is a wonderful opportunity for our students to know the person who leads our diocese. In addition to all his obligations in this pastoral role, it is great to know that Bishop Mulvey has made it his initiative to visit our students,” IWA Religious Studies Teacher Mimi Guajardo said.
