Elementary, middle and high school level students at Incarnate Word Academy attended an All Saints Day Mass on Friday, Nov. 1, at the high school’s Mother Patricia Gunning Gymnasium with Bishop Michael Mulvey as celebrant.
All Saints Day is a holy day of obligation, and is celebrated on the first of November in honor of all the saints. The Church honors all those who are with God, the innumerable men and women who chose fidelity to Christ.
“It is important for youth to know that we are saints in the making when we live out the Gospel of Jesus here on earth as the saints did when they were here,” IWA religious studies teacher Mimi Guajardo said.
