During National Catholic Schools Week (NCSW), students, teachers and staff from Bishop Garriga Middle Preparatory School (BGMPS) honored their national heritage by inviting a Native American to share with the students about her culture. She demonstrated a Native American dance and played the drums. She also taught some of the students to dance.
“Catholic Schools are very important to us. It is not only a school but a place where we can honor our Lord,” said sixth and seventh-grade Theology teacher Divina LeGrange. “I have been at Bishop Garriga for over 14 years, and I find my place here is a ministry —not just a job.”
