Bealls offering discounts for donating to The Ark by March 27

The public is invited to take advantage of a win-win opportunity for a limited time at Bealls stores in Aransas Pass, Beeville, Corpus Christi, Portland, Port Lavaca, Rockport and Victoria.

When people make a purchase at a Bealls store in one of those cities by March 27, 2014, the PIN pad will ask if they’d like to donate $1, $5 or $10 to The Ark. If a donation is made, customers will receive a Community Counts savings pass for their generosity.

The savings pass will be valid for 30 percent off on regular price, sale and clearance purchases during Bealls’ spring sale March 19-27. For the first time ever, it will also be good for 10 percent off purchases of all so-called “Yes! items” (already at everyday low prices), as well as most cosmetics and fragrances.

“Our mission is to give back to the communities we serve!” says the store’s printed material of its “30 Days of Giving” campaign. “In that spirit, 100 percent of your donation will benefit a local organization, selected by your store team members.”
