American Bank Center staff will work with the Ark

SMG managed American Bank Center employees will be working with the Ark of Corpus Christi during the month of October to collect needed items for the facility and also put together a special day for the kids on Oct. 31. The Ark is an emergency facility for children of all ages who are victims of neglect.

The Ark provides a safe family environment for these children to begin the healing process and to continue with their normal daily routines as much as possible. The Ark is committed to demonstrating to these innocent victims that even though their parents or guardians have mistreated them, there are people in this Coastal Bend community who are ready to treat them with dignity, love and respect.

One item in great need at The Ark is suitcases and bags. These children sometimes arrive to The Ark with just the clothes on their back and these suitcases will allow the children to leave with all of their belongings acquired while at the shelter. American Bank Center staff will be holding a collection for suitcases and bags throughout all departments in the building.

On Friday, Oct. 31, staff will turn the administrative offices into a trick-or-treating area for the children of The Ark to have a fun and safe Halloween. Staff will be in costume and decorate the offices for the children.
