The public is invited to join the Bishop Wm. Michael Mulvey, D.D. and special guests for the Blessing and Grand Opening Ceremony of the “Mother Teresa Shelter, Inc. Transitional Housing” facility on Friday, March 23, at 9 a.m., at 1605 Mestina St., Corpus Christi, Texas. For more information about the Grand Opening Ceremony, see the program on the left submenu.
The 8,000 square foot facility will feature 24 secure single rooms, a shared kitchen, dining room, and living area. Three cooked meals and two snacks a day, laundry facilities and a dog kennel are also included. The entire building is ADA accessible. With safety being a priority, the facility is completely enclosed. The Transitional Housing building will be fully staffed 24 hours a day with a Mental Health and Behavioral Case Manager on-staff during the day. Residents are expected to move-in the first week of April 2012.
