  Traditionally, pilgrimages to Rome play a central role in observing a Jubilee Year. However, the Church acknowledges that not everyone is able to travel to Rome to visit one of the Holy Doors. In response, the diocesan bishop is empowered to designate specific locations within the diocese as places for pilgrimage or pious visits. For the Diocese of Corpus Christi, the following sites have been chosen:
