We are excited to announce the diocesan wide family celebration and procession in honor of the international Feast of Corpus Christi on Thursday, June 16, 2022, which will also kick-off the 2022 Eucharistic Congress.
Festivities will be held at the Corpus Christi Cathedral (505 N. Upper Broadway St., Corpus Christi, TX 78401).
11:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. – Confessions
11:00 a.m. - 11:55 p.m. – Doors open, Readings of the History of the Feast of Corpus Christi, Eucharistic Miracles, Eucharistic Congress, National Eucharistic Revival & City Proclamation.
12:05 p.m. – Mass – The Most Rev. William Michael Mulvey, STL, DD, celebrant.
1:15 p.m.– Blessing of the new diocesan monstrance followed by the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
Adoration begins after Mass

1:30 p.m.– Reflection on the Eucharist Talk #1
3:30 p.m. – Reflection on the Eucharist Talk #2
4:30 p.m. – Reflection on the Eucharist Talk #3
5:30 p.m.– Vespers
6:00 p.m. - 8:30 pm – Procession & Benediction – County Resolution reading then Eucharistic Procession from Cathedral to Mother Teresa Shelter, Sacred Heart Church, and Nueces County Jail. Return for Benediction at the Cathedral and closing remarks.
For those who are unable to join us in the procession can remain in the church and will pray the rosary, evening prayer & singing until those in the procession return to the Cathedral.
Confessions:
11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Parishes and Ministry groups are invited to process with their banners. You are welcome to dress in traditional clothing celebrating your national or cultural identity.
At the Eucharistic Procession, anyone who would like to join us in learning the sign language for the song ‘Holy, Holy, Holy’ can practice with this YouTube video and join us in the procession when the time comes to sign this song, we will do it with American Sign Language.
