Summary: This one-day Retreat will cover several topics with the Main Goal - to help girls face the challenges of our society, addressing the need by offering a spiritual and moral formation through this new, interactive, mentor-led course, that helps girls build strong foundations for their future and stay on the path to holiness. Retreat OBJECTIVES: ~Understand the real meaning of the Quinceanera Celebration as an act of thanksgiving for their life and faith ~ Understand that God created humanity for love therefore they are called to love ~ Identify and value the vocation of humanity as well as the woman’s missions in life ~ Identify concrete practices to accomplish their missions as women ~ Understand the difference between sacraments and blessings~ Understand how the sacraments fit into God’s plan of salvation ~ List the 7 sacraments of the Catholic Church and identify the sign and grace of each sacrament ~ Develop life goals and formulate concrete actions to reach those goals ~ Identify immoral behaviors ~ Differentiate conscience from opinion~ Appraise the importance of purity and identify a list of Christian practices to keep chaste ~ Discuss the damages caused by contraception, pornography, and abortion. Doors open at 8:30a.m. Participant is to arrive BEFORE 9:00 a.m. – Retreat Concludes @ 5:20pm. A light breakfast, lunch (Chick-fil-A) and snacks will be provided. Participants will be assigned homework, and they will receive their certificate of participation AFTER the homework has been received by our office. Homework may be returned via email: [email protected]. A completed and signed Parent Consent Form is required for each participant. Hard copies will be available to complete during drop off. Parents do not participate/attend the Quince Prep Retreat. Drop off starts at 8:30a.m. and Pickup is at 5:20p.m.
