The official arrival of the Silver Rose will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 5 at the steps of the Corpus Christi Cathedral, 505 North Upper Broadway in Corpus Christi. Members of Knights on Bikes from Corpus Christi area will deliver the Silver Rose and present it to Knights of Columbus State Chaplain, Bishop Michael Mulvey. Knights of Columbus Area Chapter Chaplain and Rector for the Cathedral, Father James Stembler will also be present.
Every stop the Silver Rose makes throughout the pilgrimage is a rosary-centered occasion for Knights, parishioners and community members to pray for respect for life, for the spiritual renewal of each nation, and for the advancement of the message of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Members of Council 11107 Cathedral Knights of Columbus will receive the Silver Rose and carry it into the Cathedral where it will be on display for the noon Mass on Tues.
This Silver Rose started its journey in Canada earlier this year, traveling through the U.S. It will remain in Corpus for two weeks and then move to Diocese of Brownsville. In December, it will be transferred to Mexico at the international bridge in Laredo, TX, then to the shrine for Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City.
