A Women's Conference, 'Mary, Mother of Silence' will be on Saturday, May 14 at St. Theresa Church and Parish Hall, located at 1302 Lantana in Corpus Christi. There will be beverages, breakfast, snacks, door prizes and a raffle.
In the opening presentation, Come Away by Yourselves, Deacon Stephen Nolte guides participants to understanding the necessity of following Jesus' invitation to seek rest in a quiet place and how Mary, the Mother of Silence, serves to help us today. Deacon is Chaplain to Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Father Thomas Buegler Court #2433.
Monica Gatlin will explore the depths of silence to be discovered in Sacred Scripture and in everyday life, sharing her experiences as daughter, wife and mother in service to the mission of Christ and the Church. Monica serves as the Senior Administrative Assistant to the Curia for the Diocese of Corpus Christi.
In the closing presentation, Tammy Romo Alcala will witness to the profound healing power of Jesus to be encountered in silence for anyone in need of mercy and healing. Tammy has dedicated the last 17 years to the prolife movement and Rachel's Vineyard in Corpus Christi where she currently serves as the director.
