In a recent visit to the Diocese of Corpus Christi, Msgr. Peter Vaccari, President of Catholic Near East Welfare Association (CNEWA) and the Pontifical Mission, engaged with diverse groups across the region to share insights into his organization's impactful work.During his visit, Msgr. Vaccari met with Chancery Staff, parishioners at the Corpus Christi Cathedral, and college students at both the TAMUCC Newman Center and St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center & Chapel. He also spoke with high school seniors at John Paul II High School and Incarnate Word Academy. His presentation underscored the vital support CNEWA provides to Christian communities in the Middle East.
In the video above, Msgr. Peter Vaccari highlights critical support for Middle Eastern Christians. One poignant moment from his trip was a recounting of a recent visit to Palestine. There, Msgr. Vaccari and his delegation spent a harrowing night in a bomb shelter. The following day, as they went to celebrate Mass, they witnessed an overwhelming turnout of people seeking solace and prayer. “Christians in the Middle East need our support; they are suffering,” he emphasized during his address.
