On Tuesday, April 24, Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi and the Office of Youth Ministry of the Diocese of Corpus Christi, with assistance from youth groups from Nuestra Señora de San Juan de los Lagos, Madre de la Iglesia and Immaculate Conception Parish in Gregory, provided water, food, clothing and insect repellent spray to residents of the city of Gregory affected by last week’s flood.
The Gregory City Council held a “Town Hall Meeting” at Immaculate Conception Parish Hall to listen to resident concerns and to share with them what the city was doing to solve the flooding problem.
After the meeting, residents were met by the youth prepared items from Catholic Charities like rice, beans, cans of food, water, detergent, wipes, toilet paper, blankets, etc.
The video below from KIII-TV provides detail on how this group and others are aiding the people in Gregory.
