Three-on-Three tournament, record turnout in fourth year

The Office of Youth Ministry for the Diocese of Corpus Christi hosted its fourth annual King of the Court Basketball Tournament in Corpus Christi on July 23. This 3-on-3 tournament has increased since it began in 2013.
 
In 2013, there were nine teams from seven parishes that participated. In 2014, there were six teams from five parishes that participated. In 2015, 10 teams from four parishes, a public school and a Catholic school participated. This year, 18 teams from eight parishes participated.
 
"The purpose of this event is to provide more diocesan sports related events for the youth in our diocese and to bring all youth together in fellowship, prayer and games while reminding ourselves that everything we do should be to give glory to God," tournament organizer Jaime Reyna said.
