On Monday, Oct. 3, CHRISTUS Spohn hosted a Pink Glove Dance video watch party. The video, which features more than 500 Associates, is part of a national competition for America’s best Pink Glove Dance video.
“The video premier party is a way to solicit votes, but more importantly a way to increase awareness about breast cancer,” Jeannie Keith, Executive Director of the CHRISTIUS Spohn Cancer Center said.
As part of the contest, CHRISTUS Spohn’s video was posted on www.pinkglovedance.com along with the videos of the other participants. Viewers can then vote for their favorite video (voting requires a Facebook® account).
The song used in CHRISTUS Spohn’s video is Firework by Katy Perry. An interesting side note is that the artist gave permission to use this song specifically for the Pink Glove Dance competition.
The top three winners receive a donation in their name to the breast cancer charity of their choice, such as the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The winners will be announced October 28 on pinkglovedance.com. First place will receive $10,000, 2nd place $5,000 and 3rd place $2,000.
